Business Disaster Plan

A Business Disaster Plan is a document that assists business and industry in planning for disaster, including the safety of employees and protection of corporate assets.

Please click on the links (below in red) to view/download the FEMA/NEMA/IAEM/NFPA 1600 Disaster/Emergency Management and Business Continuity Program. This is the most widely referenced business plan and emergency management guideline in the U.S.

School Disaster Plan

All school districts, colleges, and Universities have disaster plans specific to their District. However, after Katrina in 2005 (and the tornado outbreak across AL in March 2007), schools are reassessing their personalized plans.

Check with these organizations to see if they have a plan in place and request to review the plan. If a plan is not in place, templates are available through FEMA, The American Red Cross, and the healthcare accrediting agencies.
